Taiwanese Braised Pork

Ingredients

Pork belly strip

300 g

Pigskin

100 g

Boiled egg

Marinade

Brown sugar

4 tbsp

Fried shallot

4 tbsp

Fried gallic

4 tbsp

Chinese five spice powder

1 tbsp

White pepper powder

1 tsp

Soy source

Cut pork belly strips and pigskin into small pieces, as in step 2. Make the boiled eggs by Tatung Rice Cooker.

When the pork belly strips are slightly frozen and then cut into 1 cm strips, and then cut in half into small pieces. Use cooking scissors to cut the pigskin into small cubes.

[Boiled eggs made by rice cooker] Put eggs in inner pot. Add water till it covers the eggs, and mix in 0.5 tsp of salt. Put the steaming rack in outer pot and add ½ cup of water of Tatung measuring cup for steaming. When the switch jumps up, take out the eggs, soak in ice cube water and then peel the shells.

[Start braised pork] Put diced pork belly, diced pork skin and marinade ingredients in inner pot. Add 1 cup of water of Tatung measuring cup and press the switch to cook for the first time.

When switch jumps up, put boiled egg in inner pot and add 1 cup of water of Tatung measuring cup. Then push down the switch to start to cook for 2nd time.
